Merlin came in to Carrot tops with severely blocked tear ducts which may have been like this for a while. Merlin has now been re-homed.

This is "Nuisance", who has now been rehomed. He got his name due to the fact that he likes to trash his hutch as soon as it is cleaned.

Ty and Sonny

This is Ty and Sonny who have gone to a super home where a deluxe residence has been especially built for them with a large attached run. We are sure they will be very happy there. We shall miss them but are happy for them.

Maisie was born in the summer of 2008. She has now been re-homed.

Susie - Update

Susie guinea-pig

Susie and her new companion in her new home.

Buttons and Beano (update) (re-homed)

Beano (left) and Buttons

The new owner of Buttons (formerly Chocolate) has sent a photo of him with his new companion, Beano.

Leah (update) (re-homed)

Leah and Jez (in upper photo)

Leah is the brown bun (photographed on 19 Dec) and was homed to be a companion to Jez. Her new owner writes: "I thought you might be interested in a Leah update. She continues to be a tinker and hides in every available spot and takes great pleasure in digging as many holes as she can around the edge of the garden teaching her mate Jez bad habits. She has become more friendly and takes great interest in our new baby bunnies that are in a rabbit run, she can be often found standing guard over them. I have attached a couple of photos of her enjoying the snow, I don't think she quite knows what to make of it and has spent ages running at top speed through the deep bits."

Chocolate (re-homed)

Whisky and Brandy (re-homed)

Whisky and Brandy

These boy rabbits were found in someone's garden. They were in poor condition and their fur was very matted. We believe they are two brothers and are only around a year old. These rabbits have now been re-homed and have been re-named Whisky and Brandy.

Stanley (re-homed) and Merry

Stanley (formerly Nick) and Merry - update.

Stanley's new owner, Hannah has updated us with the following:

"I thought you'd like an update on Nick the guinea pig, who adopted me at Secret World over Easter. He left the name Nick behind and has become Stanley, he's grown up and become even more beautiful than he was before. He has settled in extremely well with his companion, Merry and the rest of the household and his fantastic character has blossomed! He's very loving, confident and relaxed about everything.

"He loves his time out in the garden (and enjoys freshly harvested dandelions, mint, parsley, apples, pears and grass) and also delights in trotting about the house chattering. Merry, who is blind, was a little withdrawn before he moved in but he's given her lots of confidence and now she charges about the house with him, singing merrily! - I hope you can see how happy they are!"

Bubble and Squeak (re-homed)

Bubble and Squeak - update.

Bubble and Squeak were homed some years ago and are still very happy together as these latest photos show.

He is also quite shy but is friendly when he is being handled. He has started coming up to the bars of his cage and squeaking for food when he hears a plastic bag being opened! Tangerine was born on 21/4/08 and has a lovely nature. She has been returned to the rescue after re-homing because her bunny partner has died and she is lonely without him. Her previous owners said she was very attentive, especially when he was ill. We would like to pair her with another male rabbit to look after!

Darius Guinea-Pig (now re-homed)

Darius and Poppy

Darius (with brown crest) has been re-homed to partner Poppy. Darius's new owner tells us: "Poppy and Darius are rubbing along nicely. They still don't cuddle up or groom each other, which is a bit of a shame, but they seem very comfortable in each other's company. We're planning to re-name Darius, and are undecided between Sylvester and Stanley, but he's not growing into either name yet. We might have to let him choose his own."

Leah (now re-homed)

Freddy and Fifi (re-homed)

Freddy and Fifi.

These are Freddy and Fifi who are settling well into their new home. Their new owner has told us: "We have them out every day in the conservatory to get some playtime and to get groomed (they are still moulting a lot) They love playing in their new tunnel and have plenty of other toys to keep them occupied. Freddie is still the quite one but is very different when he's out and runs and leaps along with fifi, who is still in charge. They are looking forward to getting their new run for out in the garden, although still too cold at the moment."

Alvin Rabbit and Star Bunny (re-homed)

This is Alvin in his new home with Star Bunny. His new owner tells us "He is a very happy chap and has made Star a great companion".

Trouble was about 6 months old when re-homed. Despite his name, he is a very endearing, friendly bunny.

Rosie and Buddy

Rosie and Buddy.

Rosie was originally re-homed with Jim, who sadly died recently. Rosie's owner Pauhla brought her back to Carrot Tops to choose a new companion and Buddy was her first choice. She didn't even need to look at anyone else!
